Spanish readers opt for the historical novel
The sociological study carried out using the barometer of "Habits of Reading and Buying Books 2010", prepared by the Federation of Publishers' Guilds of Spain (FGEE),under the auspices by the Directorate General for Books, Archives and Libraries of the Ministry of Culture, reveals that women are more readers than men. However there is a point in that match, the first choice when choosing your reading is the historical novel (by 44.2 percent of men and 40.1 per cent for women). In the second option again the differences, men opt for the adventure (31.5 percent), while women prefer the intrigue and mystery or romantic option, the latter, minority men.
